EPT Positive Pregnancy Test: These Easy Steps

Various women experience different early pregnancy symptoms. The most common symptom is delayed or missed period. In other cases, you may have blood spotting. You may be tempted to think this is menstrual blood, but it’s not the case. It is as a result of implantation bleeding. If you see these signs, take an ept pregnancy test the day after the date you were expecting your period.

An ept pregnancy test can be done using two methods: analog testing and digital testing. Each method has its steps which must be adhered to carefully in order to get an ept positive pregnancy test.

In an analog ept pregnancy test, tear the wrapper and get the tester. The foil wrapper keeps the tester secure and thus you’re guaranteed of accurate results. Then hold the pregnancy test, with the absorbent tip facing downward, by the thumb grip. While still holding the test with the tip facing downward, pee on it for 5 seconds. Alternatively, get a clean bowl, pee on it. Place the absorbent tip in the urine for 20 seconds. Whichever method you choose ensure that you hold the ept pregnancy test upright, with the absorbent tip facing down even when extracting it from the urine bowl or the urine stream.

The next step involves placing the ept pregnancy test on a relatively flat surface. Ensure the display windows are facing upwards. Leave it undisturbed for exactly 2 minutes. Use a stopwatch to keep time accurately. Guessing will lead to improper results.

After exactly 2 minutes, check the results on the display windows. For an ept positive pregnancy test, the display window will show a + (plus) sign. Do not get confused when the lines of the plus are of different colors. So long as it is a +, you’re pregnant.
In a digital ept pregnancy test, the first step is identical to that of an analog test. However, in this test, you will see purple arrows on the test holder. Carefully slide the test stick into the holder until you hear a “click” sound. Just like in an analog test, saturate the absorbent tip by either placing it on the urine stream for 5-7 seconds. Alternatively, collect urine on a clean bowl, then saturate the absorbent tip for 15 seconds.

Carefully, extract the test stick, with the absorbent tip facing down. Place it on a flat surface. Ensure the display windows are facing up. This time, you’ll see the phrase “TEST READY” after approximately 20 to 30 seconds after placing the test on a flat surface. This indicates the test is working properly.

After exactly two minutes, check the display windows. For an ept positive pregnancy test, the display windows will read “PREGNANT”. Congratulations! You’ll be a mum in after 9 months.

It is wise to have an ept pregnancy test using the first morning urine. The human hormone chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is highly concentrated in the morning urine. Never look at the results again after the stipulated time has elapsed. You will likely get a false ept positive pregnancy test.
